FoodUp provides restaurant order management tools through two applications: FoodUp Orders (for restaurant owners) and FoodUp Courier (for delivery couriers). This policy applies to both apps.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information to operate the apps:

– Restaurant code or delivery account username, used to identify and authenticate your account
– Device push notification token, used to deliver order alerts and notifications
– Device identifier, used to authorise printing permissions on designated devices (FoodUp Orders only)

We do not collect your name, email address, physical address, payment information, or location data through either app.

How We Use Your Information

– Push notification tokens are used solely to deliver order and delivery alerts
– Restaurant codes and account credentials are used to authenticate access to your account
– Device identifiers are used to manage printer authorisation for restaurant devices
– We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes

Data Retention

– Order data is retained for a limited, rotating set of recent orders
– Delivery history is retained for up to 30 days
– Account credentials are retained for as long as your account remains active

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the apps:

– Expo Push Notifications — to deliver order and delivery alerts
– Upstash Redis — for secure backend data storage
– Render — for backend hosting

These providers process data on our behalf and are not authorised to use it for their own purposes.

Data Security

All data transmitted between the apps and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). We take reasonable measures to protect stored data from unauthorised access.

Children’s Privacy

FoodUp Orders and FoodUp Courier are business tools intended for restaurant owners, staff, and couriers. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
